Fits and Fun: Magic House

Who knew one day could be filled with so many fits and yet so much fun.  Jackson’s bad day at school yesterday had unfortunately carried over to today.  After a quick morning visit to the doctor to check on the baby (which did not go as smoothly as usual) we were off to meet some friends at that Magic House.  It went from bad to worse very quickly!  You name it screaming, crying, throwing himself on the floor we covered it all.  He did not want to play and only wanted to be held.   After trying to reason with him for sometime he and I both had decided it was time to give up and go home.  We got to the car were all buckled in ready to go home, still crying.  When he stops and says “want to play.”  I asked him if he was going to be a big boy and walk on his own and not cry anymore.  And he responded “Yes.”  So an hour after we had got there my big boy walked back in holding my hand and decided he was ready to have fun.  He started out slow but was enjoying exploring.  We took a break to eat lunch with our friends and then he was ready to play.  He was having so much fun that we stayed till 3pm, four and half hours after we got there.  It was so nice to spend some one on one time doing something fun before the baby arrives.  I was so glad we went back in even though it was a rocky start it was worth it in the end.   Now if we can just figure out away to make our days filled with less fits and more fun!

Today we went fishing

Went to the pizza parlor

Worked on cars

Got some ice cream

Played an intense game of checkers with a pineapple

Made music

Practiced ABC's

Drove a horse and buggy

And a lot more exploring
