Lazy Sunday

We had a very busy weekend full of mostly adult things.  Although Jackson did great and had fun too, today we wanted to do something fun for him.  With a late start due to everyone sleeping in and a little rain our “Lazy Sunday” began with a French toast breakfast.  Next to decide what to do.  I had an idea!

Pillow Pile!

Although the pillow pile was fun.  The excitement wore off fast.  So next we decided we wanted to do something on our Bucket List.  We chose #20 Finger Paint or should I say Body Paint.

I think next time we will finger paint outside!

Wyoming: Forever West

#5 on our Bucket List Travel to a new state. We also traveled through and spent time in Kansas, Colorado, Utah, Idaho and Nebraska.

Road Trip to Wyoming
We headed out on our 18 hour drive to Wyoming in a minivan with four adults, one fifteen month old, lots of luggage, toys and of course snacks!

Jackson kept him self occupied with snacks and Jack’s Big Music Show.

We did make a few stops for meals, park play and a little site seeing in Kansas.

Buffalo Bill - Oakley, KS

After a night in Colorado the next day we made it to our final destination!

Flaming Gorge
We took Jackson on his first boat ride to the Flaming Gorge and then took a tour of the dam.

Flaming Gorge Dam - Utah

Tuckered out after a long day on the Gorge!

Jackson Hole
On the way to Jackson Hole we stopped in at a Sinclair gas station and couldn’t pass up a photo opportunity.

Welcome to Jackson Hole

Million Dollar Cowboy Bar

Town Square Shootout

Jackson loved every minute of it!  He was hollering the whole time the gun shoots did not bother him at all.

Teton Mountain Range
                                                         Wild sunflowers everywhere

Parks and More
While on vacation we were able to squeeze in several park visits, a few good walks, and lots of fun family time.

Even the adults had fun!

Four Generations: Me, Jackson, My Dad, and My Dad’s Uncle

We had 10 days full of fun and adventure and a great first vacation for Jackson! Big thanks to my aunt and uncle for sharing their home with us.

Look What I Can Do

We have been giving Jackson utensils at each meal to start to figure them out.  He has been doing pretty well so last night being a bath night we decided to let him try applesauce on his own.  A little messy but I would say he conquered it!

You Scream For Ice Cream, I Scream For Snow Cones

On Saturday we couldn’t decide what to do in the lovely 98 degree weather.  We wanted to complete something on our Bucket List but stay cool at the same time.  So off we headed to Snow Biz for Jacksons first snow cone.  With so many flavors to choose from we went safe with cherry for Jackson.  As we sat and waited his eyes got very big watching everyone around him with their snow cones.  However he waited patiently till his arrived.  And of course once he figured it out he loved it!
Enjoy a snow cone! #22 on our summer bucket list.

Fit Worthy

This afternoon I was trying to find an indoor activity since we spent the morning outside with friends.  I had recently picked up some Play-Doh  and decided it was a good time to try it out.  At first he was not quit sure what to think or what to do with it.

He was having such a good time!  And then he thought he would taste test.

This is what his response was to don't eat the Play-Doh!

Unfortunately the Play-Doh fun had to end after the second attempt to eat it.  This is what quickly followed.

This went on in multiple spots of the living room for about ten minutes!  I am glad we found another activity for him to enjoy.  However I think I will give it a month or so before we try it again.
