Beggs Farm

We headed to Grammy and Grandpa’s for the weekend to enjoy the fall weather.  Of course we started the weekend by cheering on our Cardinals winning the World Series Friday night!  After a night of celebration we headed out early Saturday morning down to Begg’s Family Farm in Sikeston. 

We had to take advantage of all the photo opportunities.  Jackson was in a good mood and cooperative!  That is a hard combination to come by for a 19 month old.

Jackson was so excited to ride on the barrel train.  He is a little too small to ride by himself so Kevin had to squeeze in with him.  Jackson choose the Horse!

 

Jackson loved the giant slide.  Unfortunately Kevin did not enjoy it very much so Grammy took a turn with Jackson too.  Jackson was ready for another turn but there were no volunteers to take him again. 

He couldn’t get enough of the giant bounce area.  It was a giant tarp on the ground with air being blown into it like a bounce house.

Being the end of the season we were able to make are own path through the corn maze.

 So many fun things to do!

After a busy morning at the farm we headed to Lambert's to catch some rolls!

A Camel, Cookie Monster, Car Wash and of course Cardinals!

Yes are weekend included all of the above and more!  We started out Saturday morning heading over to Greene’s Country Store for their Family Halloween Party.  We checked out the exotic animals which included a very friendly camel named Gus.

He wanted to join the animals!

They also had a local photographer, Chaotic Perspectives, there with a fall background set up for family photo shoots for five dollars.  Couldn’t pass it up at the price.  She got some great shots and Jackson was very agreeable which can be rare for photos!

That afternoon we headed to a birthday party for one of Jackson’s little friends on Sesame Street!

After a very busy Saturday we headed home to chill and cheer on our Cardinals!  And what a great game it was. The weather was so great this weekend on Sunday Kevin and Jackson decided to wash dads car.  Not sure how much helping Jackson did but Kevin enjoyed spending the time with him.  And I got to take a nice nap after snapping a few pics of course. 

We finished off our very busy weekend with a family hayride and bonfire at Broemmelsiek Park with our playgroup.  We started out on a 45 minute hayride through the park checking out all the great scenery and even saw a few deer.

 

We finished the evening roasting hot dogs and marshmallows! I think we have found a new favorite of Jackson’s.  He loved the marshmallows and begged for more!  He also enjoyed running and playing with all of his little friends.

We had a fun and busy weekend!  And we are headed in to another busy week and weekend as we count down to Halloween!  And Hope to see our Cardinals as World Series Champs!
