For the love of water

Today was Jackson's first day of swim lessons at Renaud Spirit Center.  I was able to snap some pictures since Kevin is the one taking the class with Jackson.  He was slow to warm up but had a great time!  He had some issues with mom watching from the sidelines and not being in the pool with him.   But don't let that fool you I ended up wet enough.  His favorite part was singing "The Wheels on the Bus" as they went through the lazy river.

I have known for a while as much as Jackson likes water a water table was a must have for the summer.  Today was our lucky day!  I snagged a water table for $12 at a yard sell this morning.  On top of that the weather was nice enough today for Jackson to test it out.   Not a surprise he loved it!

And just for fun!

Time to by a Helmet

Who would have thought reading could be so dangerous!  Last night as Jackson and I were reading the board book “The Pokey Little Puppy” he tripped trying to get up and scrapped his little forehead.   There was actually blood.   Add this to the already two bruises on his forehead and one on his cheek!  Unfortunately there is just not one but many factors that lead to this result.  Clumsiness which he gets from me, a little bit dare devil,  and just pure boy!  So I guess the question is do they make football helmets that small?

The Golden Egg

We started off the weekend heading to Purina Farms on Saturday with Grammy and Grandpa to see the Easter Village.   First thing when you walk in the doors there is a big wagon of eggs.  Jackson and Grammy went to pick his egg, he choose a green one and was very excited about his egg.  As I was helping him open his egg there was gold confetti inside along with some candy.  I was very confused, and then I spotted this piece of paper that read "The Golden Egg".  The lady ran over very excited and was yelling to another lady "they have the golden egg!"  I was still not sure what that meant at this time.  But we soon found out that Jackson had won a $50 dollars to spend in the gift shop and Magic House coupons!  Next was the Easter Bunny and Jackson was not impressed so we ended up with a family Easter Bunny photo.  Then we went to the dog show.  Jackson really enjoyed the dogs jumping into the water as well as people watching.  As much as he loves his dog he was not a fan of walking around to see all of the dogs there though.  Out of all the animals there his favorite was the bunny rabbits in the Easter Village.  We finished off in the gift shop to spend Jackson winnings!  He got a t-shirt, stuffed animal, stickers, chalk, two camper chairs and a free hat.  All in all it was a great trip.   That evening we dyed Easter eggs and let Jackson check out a hard boiled egg, which he loved.

Easter day we spent at home with Grammy and Grandpa.  It was a quiet but busy day filled with lots of eggs, food, cooking, naps, silliness, pictures and more.  The Easter Bunny had left Jackson a basket full of goodies and lots of eggs outside.  We headed outside early to miss the rain and hunt eggs.  Kevin made his first ham and it was delicious!  Jackson ate seconds and thirds, but not really surprised.  He also took two naps which is unheard of.  The first holiday we had hosted at our house was a success!  Can't wait for next year.

Adventures of Blogging

SO here we go! I have been saying forever I should start a blog. So today is the day. I still need to add some pictures and figure all of this stuff out. But I decided to not put it off for one more day.
With living away from so many of our friends and family I hope for this blog to be away to keep them in our daily lives and see Jackson grow.

And just a little side note: English was not one of my best subjects so bare with grammar:)
